1st League game of the season

Wasps Host the Knights

Well Wasps from the start were going to prove to be difficult opponent coming from Division 1.

St. Francis record against the Wasps has been 7-0 plus twice in the Hampshire cup so the result was a massive improvement on the last two games!

Both teams started well and were going for goal and the wasps always looked the most dangerous of the two teams.

10 minutes in a though ball to their number 10 saw a well taken goal by the Wasps.

5 minutes later another for the Wasps and the Knights heads went.

Our shape had gone and we seemed to just want to give up which we have never seen before.

The team then sort it attitude out and played football and defended like we are used to.

half time 2-0

Second half we saw a Knights team out of position due to injuries from the first half and missing players though illness, but they played football which created half chances but reduced Wasps to very little. The game was played in good sports and the 11 knights gave it their all.

Wasps got a 3rd with 10 minutes left and then a 4th when the knights were reduced to 10 players though injuries and no subs.

Wasps were deserved winners 4-0 a full time.
